Accessibility statement for Auditax

Our commitment

Tax is stressful enough without the software getting in the way. We want every person to be able to use Auditax, whatever technology they use to browse, and we treat accessibility findings with the same severity as functional defects.

Conformance status

Auditax is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA. It is partially conformant: the automated criteria are met across the product, and the remaining manual verification work is listed below.

What we have tested

• Automated audit (axe-core, WCAG A/AA rules) across every page of the product, signed in as each user role: zero violations at the last audit on 3 August 2026. The audit is repeated when pages change.
• Colour contrast: the design system's colours are contrast-tested in an automated suite that runs on every code change; low-contrast combinations are rejected before they can ship.
• Keyboard access: all functionality is operable by keyboard; focus is always visible (3px outline) and follows a logical order.
• Forms: every input has a programmatic label, a plain-language question and a helper explaining where to find the information; errors are announced and explained in words, not colour alone.
• Language of page: the interface is available in English, Italian, French and German, and the page language is exposed to assistive technology so screen readers switch voice correctly.
• Mobile and zoom: pages reflow to a 375px viewport with no horizontal scrolling, and controls meet minimum touch-target sizes.
• Motion and structure: no flashing content; landmarks, headings and lists are used so the page structure is navigable with assistive technology.

Known limitations and what we are doing

• A manual screen reader walkthrough (VoiceOver and NVDA) of the two signing journeys is scheduled before public launch; automated checks cannot fully substitute for it and we do not claim they can.
• The Italian, French and German interface translations are complete but awaiting professional review; until then some assistive-technology experiences may be smoother in English.
• PDF or export artefacts, where introduced, will be checked separately.

If you contact us and are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) in the United Kingdom.
